An Expression of Interest is an ongoing talent database that Netflix Animation Studios keeps so we can consider you for roles in the future. In general, present what best represents you as an artist and an individual. Be selective with the work you choose for your portfolio, ensuring it showcases your best work.

Keep your demo reel short, sharp and sweet; starting and ending with your strongest work. It is far better to leave your audience wanting more. 2-4 minutes is more than enough—we have seen fantastic reels from professionals with over 20 years experience that are as short as 60 seconds.

Netflix Animation Studios early career opportunities (in Burbank, Sydney and Vancouver) are made available when the projects we work on have teams best able to support them. As such, early career programs are not run at regular times throughout the year. Please keep an eye on our site for updates!

Yes, these are paid positions.

A college degree or advanced education is not required for all early career positions. However, certain roles may require a degree. Please check the job description for more information.

The Netflix Animation Studios interview process could vary depending on the role, team, location and hiring timeline. In general it could be a series of virtual interviews, in-person interviews, or a combination of both. The interview process could also include several stages… i.e. phone interviews, group panel interviews, one-on-one interviews, presentations, and onsite in-person interview sessions.

Prior to your interview, a Netflix Animation Studios Talent Coordinator will send out all necessary information to make your interview experience a positive one! In addition to reviewing the information they send, please review the job description, review Netflix company culture (which we've adapted to our unique production environment), and come prepared to answer a variety of questions with specific examples that tie into your accomplishments and the requirements of the role. Don’t be afraid to practice with friends and look up example questions too!

Arrive appropriately early and prepared – you don’t want to be rushed! If you’re interviewing digitally (video/phone), ensure your technical equipment is working properly and are in good-order ahead of time.
